also, you should be allowed to post that track on NG. the "no midi" rule is just there to prevent obvious uncreative MIDI rips. if you use your ears or look off notation to make the music theres not a difference, if it copies the original, it copies the original regardless of the method. theres enough creativity in your remix to give it merit. now if anyone wants to follow up with some bullshit response regarding legalities then just remember that NG has already entered a very, very gray area by allowing song covers and VG remixes and sprites/graphics on the site to begin with.
